Happy Leap Day!
I *LOVE* holidays!!!! And today was Leap Day! It’s like this magical extra day! What’s not to love!!! Maybe I seem too exclamationy about a simple thing like an extra day every fourth year…but it’s AN EXTRA DAY EVERY FOURTH YEAR!!!!!!
Banks and schools and post offices and other government buildings and grocery stores (except for Circle K) and car dealerships and fast food joints should all be closed on Leap Days. Police stations, hospitals, and movie theaters should still stay open. But other stuff should be closed and we should just get an extra day to catch up on sleep or just hanging out. Kinda like Christmas day if you are the kind of Jewish person that doesn’t get caught up with the whole Santa/tree/presents thing. We should all get quiet streets, slow walks, maybe a movie or two, and not much else. Well, maybe one other thing…
